Painting story

Growing up, I always admired my father's passion for bowling and the five gold championship rings he had won. Hearing him recount his bowling adventures was always a proud moment for him, and I wanted to capture that feeling in a painting that I titled "Bowlin'Cool."

As I worked on the painting, I realized that there were so many other beautiful moments in my life that I wanted to share with the world. I wanted to present a positive view of black America from my perspective, to counter the negative portrayals that are too often seen in the media.

While I have achieved a lot in my career as a motion graphic designer, including five Emmy awards and international travel as a digital graphics consultant, my true passion lies in translating my vision of a positive black life in America onto canvas. I believe that art has the power to inspire change, and I hope that my paintings can help shift the narrative and promote a more positive and inclusive society. This is what drives me beyond my work in computer graphics and fuels my love for painting.
